About us

Where we are

We are a small & quiet family run touring camping & caravan site, based on the edge of the Northumberland & Scottish Borders on the outskirts of the village of Allanton.

Situated just off the B6437, we have beautiful scenic views of the Lammermuirs  Hills, Duns.

What we offer

We are an independent site, affiliated with "Wild Trails Camping Club".  We have 5 grass and gravel touring pitches as well as areas to pitch your tent.

At this time we offer non electric pitches however we are working towards an eco-friendly off grid solar supply.

South Watchlaw Farm offers you a warm Scottish Borders welcome with lots to see & do locally.  We are also central for the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Coldstream, Eyemouth, Kelso & Wooler as well as some pretty villages including Allanton, Norham, Paxton, & Ford & Etal.

Walking and cycling

We are around 10 miles from the spectacular Northumberland coastline and around the same distance over the border to reach the plunging cliffs of St Abbs Head, a nature reserve famed for its seabird colonies and the harbour of the scenic seaside town of Eyemouth.

We are a handy base for walking, cycling and exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland countryside and coastline.

As well as the local Blackadder Loop and Whiteadder Walk, further afield are walks across the Cheviot and Lammermuir Hills, St Cuthberts Way or the Pilgrims Walk across to Holy Island is around 22 miles from us.

Golf

If its a game of golf you are looking for, we are within a short drive to numerous courses including Berwick-upon-Tweed, Roxburghe & Goswick.
